Dear Yohaan,

Well done with the magic tricks Tootly and FunnyMouth have taught you! Could you read and sing all the notes by yourself? I see you’ve sung well and also had a bit of fun!:-D Keep up the good work and here are some stars from Magician Tootly for you ✨🎩✨✨🎩

Dear Parent,

Through this exercise, the child learns to (i) to read the musical notes as they sing along and (ii) sing in a non-linear tune which helps strengthen their sense of pitch now that the basic up and down patterns are well-practised.

Please also see our point-wise feedback below:

Confidence and Independence – good, needs some work
Understanding of the concept or exercise – good, needs some work
Singing/ Pitching – good
Rhythm – good
Overall control (volume, breath etc) – excellent
Pronunciation/ recollection of lyrics – good, needs some work

Notes: Its fine that Yohaan is not able to sing the tune on his own right away, but do help him practice and get there gradually! Do play the recording back to him and encourage him to check if the tune sounds familiar? (correct answers include: twinkle twinkle, ba ba black sheep, apple-mango-papaya) 🙂

Additional notes (if any): You can revisit lessons like Mo & MI’s Story (Day 5), Abracadabra (Day 8) or Tootly goes Fishin (Day 12) to help revise the notation reading, if needed.

We notice Yohaan was having some fun while recording. While fun is completely ok, do encourage him to understand that he should put his best foot forward during assignments and recordings, just as we would if we were actually performing for someone.

Look forward to hearing more from Yohaan.
Your previous live meet milestone was on completion of Day 18. We hope you have scheduled and done the same. Please ignore if already completed.
