Nice to hear you after a short break and glad to see you are doing your lessons again! I see you’ve sung well and do see our notes to get better! Keep up the good work and here are some stars FunnyMouth and Tootly have sent for you from the sky so high! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Dear Parent,
Through this exercise, the child learns to (i) sing across a typical vocal range known as one octave and (ii) control their volume and breath as they do so in one go.
Please also see our point-wise feedback below (based on needs work/ good/ excellent):
Confidence and Independence – good
Understanding of the concept or exercise – good
Singing/ Pitching – good
Rhythm – good
Overall control (volume, breath etc) – good
Pronunciation/ recollection of lyrics – good, needs some work
Notes: here are some tips we thought might help Krishika:
(1) pause the Tootly video after every quarter line; so that she has less of the tune and lyrics to remember at one time; then sing after Tootly; unpause and continue. Do this a few times;
(2) Krishika needs to get acquainted to the tune first; irrespective of the lyrics. If she is finding the lyrics difficult, she can listen to Tootly sing and sing ‘la la la ‘ in the same tune instead at first;
(3) Allow her to focus only on Tootly audio so that she has only one reference point and not 2 including someone else singing for / with her; even if she is just listening the first few times that’s ok, she will hopefully get the confidence to sing after Tootly in a few times.
It would be great if you can do this and re-send the assignment to [email protected] so that it build confidence in her before she moves on to the next set of exercises.
Look forward to hearing more from Krishika and meeting her soon. Your second live meet can be scheduled once you complete Day 18.
