Dear Anika,

Nice to see you are doing your lessons regularly, and hear you again! I see you’ve sung well, please also check our notes below to get even better! Keep up the good work and here are some stars FunnyMouth and Tootly have sent for you from the sky so high! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Dear Parent,

Through this exercise, the child learns to (i) sing across a typical vocal range known as one octave and (ii) control their volume and breath as they do so in one go.

Anika has done well on both aspects above. Please also see our point-wise feedback below (based on needs work/ good/ excellent):

Confidence and Independence – excellent
Understanding of the concept or exercise – excellent
Singing/ Pitching – excellent
Rhythm – excellent
Overall control (volume, breath etc) – good, needs some work*
Pronunciation/ recollection of lyrics – excellent

Notes: Anika has sung the song perfectly, technically. But we noticed she was using a ‘shouting’ vs singing voice, especially in the higher notes. Please do play back the video to her and sask her to sing in a more relaxed manner. The idea is to make the kids sensitive to these aspects and help them realise it for themselves rather than constantly correcting them. She herself might enjoy her rendition way more that way 🙂

Look forward to hearing more from Anika and meeting her soon. Your second live meet can be scheduled once you complete Day 18.
